ida update -- new map, new builds


Hi! ida here, integration programmer.

Because we've expanded changed the map, i've updated our download page and html5 player with new builds. The map is larger, and scenery objects can now be walked behind. There's been major battle system updates, but they are in development and the plots on the map are currently empty. Dialog with the Blacksmith NPC is also currently not functioning; i need to reconnect and expand on that, as well as utilize the dialog functionality for the plot interaction.screenshot showing our scene hierarchy and map, the latter featuring a farmhouse, some plots, and north of there, some houses and the blacksmith and their shop

For the last month, i've mostly been handling version control issues and resolving functionality losses in the overworld scene caused by components becoming disconnected. i'm revising scripts to rely on finding objects in scene rather than require manual connection, so that this kind of breaking can be avoided. i've also spent some time repacking prefabs in scene and fixing bugs in various scripts. i'm also working on the planting and gave state/saving functionality, but nothing conclusive just yet.

Regarding builds, i can't seem to figure out how, if possible, to make the game and its html5 iframe scale with the size of the window. I've tried adding style code to make the html5 plugin adjust to the width of the page, however it seems that itch.io doesn't allow you to make the "viewport" (iframe) resizable beyond toggling fullscreen. If i'm incorrect about this, i welcome your advice! i've tried searching online for solutions, but so far to no avail.
